It's a good phone

It doesn't have google services and discord kept crashing when I tried to open it but whatsapp is usable. I tried firefox browser and it was slow but the default browser is okay. I recommend using aurora store instead of apkpure.
It comes preinstalled with some apps in japanese even if you change the language but I think you can't use them unless you have a specific sim card.
Another problem for me is the ringtone volume. I couldn't hear my calls on the sidewalk over the cars and I had it on max volume. You also can't change the opening and closing sound effect of the phone; you can only turn them off.
It is a fun phone and also comes with a sort of voice mail feature and also a fake call feature built in

My first keitai review (-;-)

Okay so… I got the KyF42 and I’m actually kinda obsessed?? 💗 It’s small, super cute and flipping it open feels like I’m in a 2000s rom-com 🎀✨ The buttons click so nicely and texting on it feels weirdly fun lol.

I only use it for calls, music and texting and it does all that perfectly 💌🎧 Battery lasts like 3+ days which is sooo nice. I tried putting some apps on (WhatsApp works!!), but a few didn’t open so like… don’t expect Instagram-level stuff haha 😅

If you want a simple phone that still feels a bit modern, the KYF42 is pretty good. The screen is small but clear, buttons feel nice to press. I love the retro vibe.
