Return Policy
Y2KPHONES offers a 14-day return policy exclusively for devices that arrive faulty or differ from what was ordered. To be eligible for a return, you must submit your request within 14 days of receiving your order, accompanied by clear photo or video evidence of the issue.
To qualify, the device must meet all of the following conditions:
- Unused and in the same condition as delivered
- Returned in its original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase and supporting evidence of the fault
Upon receiving your return request, we will first attempt to resolve the issue directly. A return will only be accepted if the issue cannot be resolved by other means. Once your return is approved, you will have 14 days to ship the item back. Returns not dispatched within this period will no longer be valid and a refund will not be issued.
By placing an order with Y2KPHONES, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this refund policy in full.
How to Initiate a Return
To begin a return, please contact us at support@y2kphones.com with a clear description of the issue and supporting photo or video evidence. Do not send any item back before receiving authorisation from our team. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted and will not be eligible for a refund.
If your return is approved, we will provide a return shipping label and full instructions on how to send the item back to us.
120-Day Battery Warranty
Every device sold by Y2KPHONES is covered by a 120-day limited battery warranty, effective from the date of delivery. Battery faults are not eligible for a return or refund. Instead, any qualifying battery issue will be resolved through a free replacement battery.
This warranty covers the following battery defects:
- The battery does not hold a charge
- The battery drains at an unusually fast rate
- The battery fails to power the device

120-Day Limited Hardware Warranty
Every device sold by Y2KPHONES is also covered by a 120-day limited hardware warranty, effective from the date of delivery. This warranty covers severe hardware defects that affect the core functionality of the device and arise under normal use.
This warranty covers serious hardware faults only, including but not limited to:
- Screen failure unrelated to physical damage
- Buttons or physical components that are non-functional upon receipt
- Internal hardware defects that prevent the device from operating
This warranty does not cover:
- Software issues or app compatibility
- Network incompatibility
- Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, or marks
- Any damage resulting from misuse, accidents, water damage, or unauthorised modification
- Normal wear and tear
To make a hardware warranty claim, please contact us at support@y2kphones.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear supporting evidence. Each claim will be reviewed individually. If a qualifying hardware fault is confirmed, we will do our best to support you with an appropriate resolution.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your device carefully upon receipt. If your device arrives faulty, damaged, or different from what was ordered, contact us immediately at support@y2kphones.com. We will assess the issue and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.
Please note that our devices are professionally refurbished to a like-new standard. However, some models may present minor cosmetic signs of prior use. Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the functionality of the device are not considered a fault and do not qualify for a return.
Non-Returnable Items and Exceptions
Returns will not be accepted for any of the following reasons:
- Minor cosmetic damage that does not affect device functionality
- Change of mind
- Delays caused by customs inspections or international shipping
- Minor software issues that are resolvable without returning the device
- Incompatibility with third-party applications
- Incompatibility with your mobile network or carrier
Network Compatibility Policy
All devices sold by Y2KPHONES are fully SIM-unlocked and are not restricted to any specific carrier. However, it is entirely the responsibility of the customer to verify that the device they are purchasing is compatible with their local network and carrier before placing an order.
Y2KPHONES does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for any issues relating to network incompatibility under any circumstances.
Network compatibility depends on your location, mobile carrier, and the frequency bands supported in your region. The frequency bands supported by each device are clearly listed in every product description. Additional guidance on how to check compatibility is available in our FAQ section. We strongly recommend confirming compatibility directly with your mobile network provider before purchasing. We are not responsible for any network-related issues following delivery of your order.

App Compatibility Policy
Y2KPHONES does not accept returns or offer refunds for any issues relating to third-party app compatibility.
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to verify that the applications they wish to use are compatible with the Android version of the device before placing an order. All apps available on the Android platform are developed, maintained, and updated by independent third-party developers and have no connection to Y2KPHONES or our products. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the functionality, availability, or compatibility of any third-party application on any device we sell. App incompatibility does not constitute a fault with the device.
The Android version and full technical specifications of every device are listed on the relevant product page to allow customers to verify compatibility before purchasing. APKPure
All Keitai devices sold by Y2KPHONES come with the APKPure app store pre-installed as a complimentary convenience. APKPure allows customers to download apps directly onto the device without requiring a computer or manual sideloading. Whilst we include this to simplify the setup process, APKPure is a third-party application and does not form part of the product itself. Y2KPHONES accepts no responsibility for the functionality, compatibility, or availability of APKPure or any applications downloaded through it.
For Smartphones, customers may optionally pay a small fee to have APKPure pre-installed prior to dispatch. This is an optional service only. The compatibility and functionality of any apps downloaded through APKPure are not guaranteed and remain the sole responsibility of the customer.
The following terms apply to the APKPure pre-installation service:
- If the APKPure application itself fails to function, we will refund the installation fee
- We are not responsible for the functionality or compatibility of any apps downloaded through APKPure
- The availability of specific apps on APKPure must be verified by the customer before purchasing
- Issues with APKPure or any apps downloaded through it do not constitute a fault with the device and do not qualify the device for a return or refund
- Brand new sealed devices are not eligible for APKPure or any other app pre-installation service
Exchanges
To exchange a device, please return your original item in accordance with our return policy. Once your return has been approved and processed, you may place a new order for the replacement device.
Refunds
Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome. If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process the payment on their end.
If more than 10 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not yet received it, please contact us at support@y2kphones.com.
Refurbished Devices Policy
All devices sold by Y2KPHONES are professionally refurbished or pre-owned models. Prior to listing, every device undergoes a thorough inspection, professional cleaning, necessary repairs where required, and full functional testing to ensure it meets our quality standards before being dispatched.
Where components require repair or replacement as part of the refurbishment process, replacement parts are selected for compatibility with the original model and meet the functional standards appropriate for refurbished devices, particularly given the discontinued nature of many of the models we carry.
Every device sold by Y2KPHONES is guaranteed to be a genuine, original model from its respective manufacturer. Devices are not rebranded in any way. Manufacturer logos, brand identifiers, and model details remain intact unless previously removed or altered by a former owner prior to our sourcing of the device.
Due to the nature of refurbished and discontinued devices, minor cosmetic signs of prior use may be present. All devices are verified to be fully operational and SIM-unlocked for use on compatible networks prior to dispatch.
Y2KPHONES provides accurate and transparent information regarding the model, condition, and specifications of every device listed on our website to the best of our knowledge and ability. We do not claim affiliation with, or authorisation from, any manufacturer or brand featured on our website.

Please note that prior to completing checkout, every customer is required to tick a box explicitly confirming their agreement to our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Terms of Service. No claim of unawareness of our policies will be accepted following the completion of a purchase.
