Functionality: 9/10
Overall, this phone can do so much! It has a few very minor setbacks, such as the occasional crash when watching videos on Instagram, but nothing major. The only reason I'm giving it a 9 instead of a 10 is because VoLTE doesn't work with my network in New Zealand, meaning I can't make or receive calls.
Style: 10/10
So cute! Customisation is a must if you want to give it your own flair. Compared to other flip phones, the larger screen is a huge plus, and the buttons are comfortable and easy to type on.
Battery: 5/10
The battery life is decent, but the more apps you install, the faster it drains. There may be ways to improve this, but it's something to keep in mind.
Comes with charger?
Yes.
Camera: 8/10
The camera is surprisingly good! It's definitely better than some older Samsung smartphones (like my uncle's A12), although it won't compete with an iPhone or newer flagship phones. I've attached a photo taken on the phone as an example.
Overall, the phone is really cute and easy to use. The buttons feel great to type on, and the camera quality exceeded my expectations. I live in New Zealand, and shipping only took about a week.
I ordered a brand-new sealed phone, so it didn't come with APKPure pre-installed, but it was easy to install by following the provided instructions.
The only downside for me is that I can't make or receive phone calls. I suspect this is due to VoLTE compatibility, which Y2K Phones had mentioned before I purchased it—it seems to vary depending on your country and mobile network. Thankfully, I can still send and receive text messages, so I've found a workaround by carrying a second phone just for calls (it's basically my little landline now 😂).
Everything else works great! I use Instagram, Messenger, the web browser, hotspot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WhatsApp without any issues. This has become my everyday phone, while my second phone is only for calling.
I'd definitely recommend this phone if you're after a stylish flip phone with smart features. Just make sure to research VoLTE compatibility with your country's networks before buying if making calls is important to you.
