Completely normal. Every international order passes through customs as a standard part of the delivery process. Most parcels are cleared and on their way to you within 2 to 5 days, with no action needed from you at all.

Customers in the United States, Canada, the European Union, and the United Kingdom will not be charged any customs or import fees on our orders. This is guaranteed.

For all other countries, the vast majority of our customers do not experience any customs charges. We declare all shipments as low value, which keeps the risk minimal. On the rare occasions a charge has occurred, it has typically been no more than $10. Any fees that are applied remain the responsibility of the customer.

If your parcel is rejected by customs through no fault of your own and is destroyed or returned as a result, you will be issued a full refund once the outcome has been confirmed.

If your parcel is destroyed or lost because you refused to pay a required customs fee or refused delivery, you will not be eligible for a refund. If it is returned to us, a refund will be issued minus all shipping costs once tracking confirms it has arrived back at our facility.

A refurbished device is one that has been previously owned and then fully inspected, cleaned, data wiped, tested, and restored to meet our quality standards before being shipped. Where any components need replacing, they are replaced. We do not sell phones in poor cosmetic or functional condition.

We work with a trusted partner facility in China that sources devices from Japan, South Korea, and across Asia. Every phone goes through a thorough inspection and testing process before it is shipped to you. These are carefully sourced and vetted devices, not random stock.

On eBay or AliExpress you are buying from unknown sellers with inconsistent quality, no specialist knowledge of the devices, and limited support if something goes wrong.

All of the phones we sell are officially discontinued, meaning they are no longer being manufactured. Whether we are able to restock a sold out item depends entirely on our ability to source more units, which is not always guaranteed.

This depends on which collection you are purchasing from:

• Smartphones support full Android app use, depending on the Android version of the specific device
• Keitais support limited app use through APKPure, which comes pre-installed on every device, or by sideloading apps manually from a computer
• Feature Phones support very basic app use and do not have access to the Google Play Store or any standard app marketplace
• Retro Phones cannot run any apps at all. These are classic 2G devices with no smart functionality. If apps matter to you, please do not purchase from the Retro collection.

Every product page lists the Android version the device runs. To check if an app will work, simply find the minimum Android version the app requires and compare it to the version listed on the product page. If they match or the device runs a higher version, the app should work.

For devices with APKPure pre-installed, you can use it to search for and download older versions of apps. This is helpful when the latest version of an app no longer supports the Android version your device runs.

App compatibility is the sole responsibility of the customer. Apps are created, maintained, and updated by independent third party developers and have no connection to Y2KPHONES or our products. We sell the device. What a customer chooses to install on it, and whether it works, is entirely their own responsibility.

APKPure is an alternative Android app store that allows you to download and install apps, including older versions of apps, that may not be available through the Google Play Store. For smartphones, some apps regularly update their minimum Android requirements, meaning the latest version may no longer work on older Android devices. APKPure lets you find and download an older version of the app that is still compatible with your device.

For keitais, APKPure is essential. Keitai devices do not come with the Google Play Store or any built in app store. APKPure fills that gap, giving you access to a library of apps you can download and install directly onto your device.

APKPure comes pre-installed on every Keitai we sell at no extra cost.

For our Smartphones, you can add a pre-installation of APKPure at checkout for a small additional fee, or you can install it yourself after receiving the device.

No. APKPure is a third party application and we are not responsible for its availability, performance, or the apps accessible through it. We pre-install it on Keitais as a convenience to our customers. If apps available through APKPure are important to your purchase, we recommend checking that they are available before ordering.

A keitai (ガラケー) is a Japanese flip phone. Keitais are not smartphones. They have a physical keypad, a flip form factor, and run a limited version of Android. You will not get a touchscreen or a full smartphone experience, but you will get 4G connectivity, calling, texting, and limited app support through APKPure.

APKPure, MATVT (cursor app), and MoreLocale 2 (language app) come pre-installed on every keitai we sell. All three apps can be found in the installed or downloads folder within your app menu.

Because keitais do not have a touchscreen, you will need a cursor to navigate apps.

Some keitai models have a built in cursor feature that can be enabled directly in the device settings. If your device does not have one, the MATVT app comes pre-installed and gives you a virtual cursor to navigate the screen.

You will need to have your cursor set up before you can use APKPure or any other app.

Yes. If APKPure does not have the app you are looking for, apps can also be sideloaded onto the device from a computer. There are step by step guides available on YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok for this process. Search for your specific keitai model for the most relevant instructions.

Every device we sell comes with two forms of warranty coverage:

• 120 Day Battery Warranty. If your battery develops a fault within 120 days of receiving your device, contact us with evidence of the issue and we will send a replacement battery to you at no cost.
• 120 Day Limited Hardware Warranty. If your device develops a severe hardware fault within 120 days of receiving it, contact us and we will do our best to support you. This covers serious hardware defects only and does not include damage caused by misuse, accidents, or anything outside of normal use.

The warranty does not cover software issues, app compatibility, network compatibility, cosmetic damage, or any damage resulting from misuse or accidents. It covers severe hardware faults only.

We offer a 14 day return window for devices that arrive faulty or that are different from what was ordered. Full terms are outlined in our Refund Policy.

Please contact us straight away with photos or a short video showing the issue. Devices that arrive damaged or faulty are taken seriously and we will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

The following are not covered under our return policy:

• Network incompatibility. Full frequency band information is listed on every product page. It is the customer's responsibility to verify compatibility before purchasing.
• App incompatibility. The Android version and full specifications are listed on every product page. It is the customer's responsibility to verify that their required apps will work before purchasing.
• Change of mind. We do not accept returns for change of mind under any circumstances.

We want to be straightforward about this. We are a small independent business that sources rare, discontinued phones from Asia and ships them to customers all over the world completely free of charge. Accepting returns for reasons outside of a product fault simply is not sustainable for a business like ours.
