We offer a 14-day return policy exclusively for faulty or incorrect phones. To qualify for a return, you must submit your request with evidence within 14 days of receiving the item.

The phone must remain in its original condition:

  • Unused
  • In the same state as delivered
  • In its original packaging

You will also need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase, along with photo or video evidence clearly showing the issue. We will first attempt to resolve the issue; if this is not possible, a return will be accepted.

Once your return request is approved, you will have 14 days to send the item back. If the item is not shipped within this period, the return request will no longer be valid and a refund will not be issued.

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at support@y2kphones.com, clearly explaining your issue and providing photo/video evidence.

If your return is approved, we will send you a return shipping label and instructions on how to send your item back. Items sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.

120-Day Battery Warranty

All phones sold by Y2KPHONES include a 120-day limited battery warranty from the date of delivery.

We do not accept returns or refunds for battery-related issues. Instead, any qualifying battery fault will be resolved through a free battery replacement.

This warranty covers defects in battery performance, such as:

  • Not holding charge
  • Draining unusually fast
  • Failing to power the device

If a covered issue occurs within 120 days, we will provide a free replacement battery.

To make a claim, please contact us at support@y2kphones.com with your order number, a description of the issue and supporting evidence (photos or videos). Our team will review your case and provide the next steps.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt. If the phone is faulty or incorrect, contact us immediately at support@y2kphones.com. We will evaluate the issue and work to resolve it.

Our phones are refurbished to a like-new condition, but some models may have minor signs of wear or cosmetic damage, which is not considered a defect.

Non-Returnable Items and Exceptions

We do not accept returns for:

  • Phones with minor cosmetic damage
  • Change of mind purchases
  • Shipping delays as a result of customs checks 
  • Minor software issues that can be easily fixed
  • Third-party apps that are incompatible with the device
  • Phones that are incompatible with your network provider

Network Compatibility Refund Policy

All of our phones are sold fully unlocked, meaning they are not restricted to any carrier. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the device purchased is compatible with their local network.

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for any issues related to network incompatibility under any circumstances.

Compatibility can vary depending on your location, carrier, and the frequency bands used. We clearly display the supported frequency bands in every product description and provide additional compatibility guidance in our FAQ section. While we are happy to offer general advice, we strongly recommend confirming compatibility directly with your mobile network provider before making a purchase.

Due to the wide variation in carriers and network standards worldwide, we cannot guarantee full compatibility in every region. We are not responsible for any network-related issues after delivery.

App Compatibility Refund Policy

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for issues related to third-party app compatibility.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check whether the apps they wish to use are compatible with the Android version on the device before purchasing. Third-party apps are not developed, maintained, or supported by us, and any incompatibility does not reflect a fault in the condition or functionality of the vintage device.

As such, app compatibility issues are not valid grounds for a return or refund.

APKPure

All refurbished Keitai devices come pre-installed with the APKPure app store. This is provided purely as a convenience so you can download apps directly onto the device without needing to sideload them from a computer. We include this to make setup easier, but APKPure and the apps it provides are third-party software and not part of the product we sell. We are not responsible for the functionality, compatibility, or availability of any apps on these devices.

For smartphones, customers may choose to pay a small fee to have APKPure pre-installed. This is offered as an optional service to help access older app versions that may be required for certain devices with outdated Android versions. Compatibility and functionality of third-party apps downloaded from APKPure are not guarinteed and not something we are liable for.

  • If the APKPure app itself fails to work, we will refund the installation fee.
  • However, we are not responsible for the functionality or compatibility of any apps you download through APKPure.
  • The availability or usability of apps on your device must be checked by you before purchasing.
  • Since APKPure is a third-party app and not part of the device itself, any issues with APKPure or downloaded apps do not qualify the device for a full return or refund.
  • Please note: Brand-new, sealed devices cannot have APKPure or any other apps pre-installed.

Exchanges

To exchange a phone, please return the item you have. Once the return is approved, you may place a new order for the replacement phone.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you if your refund is approved.

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

Refurbished Devices Policy

All devices available at Y2KPHONES are refurbished or pre-owned models. Each device undergoes a thorough inspection, professional cleaning, necessary repairs, and full functional testing before being listed for sale.

Where required, components may be repaired or replaced as part of the refurbishment process to restore functionality or improve the overall condition of the device. Replacement parts are selected to be compatible with the original model and meet functional standards appropriate for refurbished devices, particularly for older or discontinued models.

Every refurbished device is guaranteed to be a genuine, original model from its respective manufacturer. Devices are not rebranded in any way. Logos, manufacturer details, and model identifiers remain intact unless previously removed or altered by a former owner prior to sourcing.

Due to the nature of refurbished and retro devices, minor cosmetic signs of prior use may be present. However, all devices are verified to be fully operational and unlocked for use on compatible networks.

Y2KPHONES provides accurate information about each device’s model, condition, and specifications to the best of our ability. We do not claim affiliation with, or authorization from, any brand featured on our website.
