Kyocera A202KC / A203KC Digno Keitai 4 - Unlocked - Android 10 Keitai Flip Phone

I’ve been using this phone for about two months now, so I wanted to leave a proper review!! First of all, shipping was super fast, it arrived in less than 2 weeks. It works perfectly here in Spain and I haven’t had a single issue with my network carrier.
It runs all the essentials like whatsapp and the browser really smoothly. I haven’t tried downloading instagram or any other social media because getting rid of them and disconnecting was the whole point of making this my main phone, and it's perfect for that. Just a quick heads up for music: it doesn’t have a regular headphone jack, so you’ll need bluetooth earbuds (I personally just use an old MP3 player alongside it anyway!!).
The design is so cute and lightweight!! The physical buttons are incredibly satisfying to click, and the whole system is really simple to learn how to use and personalize. You do have to get used to the keypad at first, but honestly, it’s way easier than it looks. And yes, you're probably gonna get weird stares from time to time, but it's actually a great conversation starter!!
I’m really glad I bought it and I totally encourage anyone looking for this kind of phone to go for it!! :) Also, a huge thanks to the y2kphones team, they were super kind and attentive throughout the whole process! <3

It took under 2 weeks to arrive, and the tracking website worked well. It was easy to set up; put WhatsApp and google messages on it they also don't. The phone works well on US west coast on T-Mobile. I was skeptical at first, but this really is a good website, and I'll definitely buy again from here.

Could someone help me to configure the phone? I bought it on marketplace and I cant download WhatsApp

I'm so so happy with the device! It arrived within 3 weeks (I live in Greece) and the tracking process was pretty accurate. Everything went smoothly with no extra costs. I've been using it for a week now and since I've been so used to having an iphone 8, I just love the freedom an android device has to offer. I'm having so much fun configuring everything. Although it said it came pre-equipped with apkpure store, mine didn't have it, but that was no problem for me since I worked my way around it by installing the apps I wanted through ADB, which I prefer. The thing I cared about most was spotify, since I use it heavily on the daily, and so far so good! I also has no issues with calls (I manually added VPN settings). The only thing I noticed with the calls, is that when both the caller and the reciever talk at the same time, the sound cuts a little, but that's fine. Over all I'm soooo happy with my purchace and I have already seen an improvement in my mood and the use of my free time. It's the perfect balance of modern and nostalgic-retro vibes for me!

Ordered to Germany, took around 12 days to arrive. Cant even tell that its refurbished because it looks factory new. Love it!!

I bought the A202KC, it came in after about 3ish weeks.
Ordered and advertised as new, it was in mint condition and beautifully packaged!

The package had some hic-ups while arriving with the DHL, but it's not the sellers fault. The Y2kphones team was ready to help quickly and professionally!

I'll definitely purchase again in the future, 10/10 :3

Super responsive support, and phone works perfectly! Definitely reccomend

The order arrived earlier than expected and, when it did, the phone came in nice shape. No signs of anything. Just a brand new and cute japanese phone.

Of course, this phone does not have anything like a «play/apple store», but it ain´t actually that hard to install some apps (just following some simple instructions on internet will do it).

It was for a gift, but the short amount of time I got it in my hands felt amazing. Smooth, simple and… cute, of course.

I will definitely buy again in the future.

I absolutely love my Kyocera flip phone. It arrived in super pristine condition even tho a bit longer than expected due to the Xmas holidays but still I'm enjoying my time with it. Thank you so much!

I LOVE my new phone! I ordered to the US, and it took about 2 1/2 weeks to arrive (which was pretty shockingly fast imo). I emailed asking about customs/extra charges, and the team got back to me quickly. They were very kind in explaining how it all works, as it was my first time ordering something like this. The phone itself is beautiful. I got the refurbished version, but i would barely guess that it was ever used. It took a while to get it set up, but it works perfectly. Definitely buy from Y2K!!! Checkout is easy and trustworthy, customer service is quick and kind, and the phones are in great condition :) (They say this all over the website, but make sure to check if you can get service if you’re in the US!! Some of these phones aren’t supported. This one can be covered by Mint Mobile)

I’m so happy with the A20KC. It came within the stated delivery time (14 days). It was easy to switch to English and start using. I got a cheap Mint Mobile plan and it seems to work fine. Make sure you do the APN settings. There are some good YouTube videos for setting up the phone. Order went very smoothly and I would definitely order from Y2K Phones again!

Works great for my purposes. Since the phone is Japanese, some of the regionlocked functions do not work (eg. weather). Custom apps have to be sideloaded on - Y2Kphones already sideloads an app store onto the phone, but I mostly sideloaded the apps I want as separate APKs from my computer.
Using custom apps built for more powerful phones drains the battery quicker than it would otherwise last - it can still go a couple days without charging. The apps I use that work fine are:
- Discord
- Whatsapp
- QUIK SMS (normal SMS does not chain messages)
- Fennec (Firefox - pretty slow and prone to crashing)
- TT9 (phone's default keyboard does not support traditional T9 typing, which is much quicker than the alternative)
- NewPipe (youtube client)
Camera is better than my old phone, which isn't saying much. SD card is not recognised by the phone despite being reformatted multiple times. Maybe it's the size or brand of the SD card, but it doesn't matter enough to me to fix it right now - it works fine without. It's great to use and makes people laugh. Would recommend!
I was worried at first because the shipping tracker did not update for 2 weeks. After that time, the phone was delivered, so I was happy.
If you want to run heavy apps like Instagram, Maps (google suite does not work on the phone allegedly) or TikTok you might have problems. But for staying in contact with people, I love it.

When I first saw Y2KPhones back in 2023/2024, I was very skeptical at first. I really wanted to get a flip phone though, especially one that had Android. The aesthetic fits me perfectly.

When the phone finally arrived, I was surprised to see that it was already debugged and in English -- I appreciate the seller for doing that!! The phone works perfectly! It even works on my carrier (T-Mobile in a big city on the East Coast of the US), so I'm excited to start using it more once I finish tweaking it.

I can't wait to see if Japan makes more phones like these, or we'll see more of a resurgence regarding these phones!

was stuck between this and the ky42. phone came quick and works well. made the right choice. next I might buy a sharp aquos… from y2kphones too ofc

Been using the Kyocera A202KC for about two weeks and honestly, I’m kinda obsessed with it. It’s small, chunky in a good way, and that flip click is weirdly addictive. I mainly use it for calls, texting and WhatsApp and it handles all that fine. No notifications dragging me back into Instagram or TikTok every five minutes, which was the whole point of me switching!
